An exclusive 1 of 1 hand made by Ibanez in Japan for their 50th anniversary!

Serving as a blueprint for the next evolution of this venerable Ibanez bass, this Japan Custom Shop iteration merges the renowned and thunderous tones of the BTB line with the modern benefits of multi-scale construction. The centerpiece of this custom design is the unique combination of scale-lengths employed. The B string features a robust 36” scale while the high C is 33.5”. This creates an exceptional balance in the feel and timbre of each string. The shorter scale on the high C adds a touch of warmth, while the super long 36” low B exhibits a commanding, well-defined fundamental, without being overpowering. Additionally, the less dramatic spread in scale lengths versus the production multi-scale BTB models, means this bass can run the gamut of different styles, but bassists who make their home playing fusion and other highly technical styles will be particularly satisfied with this instrument’s design.

SETUP & INSPECTED BY OUR TECH TEAM

All of our guitars come with a FREE professional setup tailored to your individual tuning and string gauge preferences, if available. Our setups always include action, intonation, trem angle, and truss rod adjustments.  If needed, we smooth out fret edges, address any nut or bridge shim issues, polish the frets, and condition the fingerboard.  All work is completed by our experienced tech team who understand what today's players want from their instruments. If not otherwise requested our techs will setup each instrument to a comfortable medium/low action with minimal truss rod relief dependent on the instrument style.
