1989 Fender Jazz Bass Olympic White

1989 Fender Jazz Bass Olympic White

A different take on the venerable Jazz Bass. Loaded with Fender Lace Sensor Pickiups, more frets than the original model, as well as a longer upper horn, this bass is ready to blow your head off with low end thump.

Weight: 9.2lb

Finish: Original Olympic White

Body Material: Alder

Body Details: The body is in very good condition with various chipping, nicks, scratches and dents throughout the body. The original Olympic white finish has aged to a nice off white color that accents the still white pickguard. There are some finish chips around the neck pocket but they stop at the finish and are not cracks in the wood. The face has some dents and wear in the finish where the right arm comes across, but is relatively clean for its age. The sides and back of the guitar have the most wear and buckle rash on them with the tummy cutaway having three notable finish chips. The back has plenty of play wear and bucklerash.

Neck Material: Maple

Fingerboard Material: Rosewood

Neck Profile: Thin C

Neck Thickness (IN): 1st fret: .780", 12th fret: .980"

Fingerboard Radius: 9.5"

Nut Width: 1-1/2 in

Neck Details: Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays; there is a shallow dent behind the second fret and another behind the 7th fret. There is some finish cracking happening between the skunk stripe and the maple neck as well as some finish wear on the back of the neck

Fret wear: even fret wear up through the 5th fret, some playwear is noticeable beyond the 5th fret

High G string gauge: 45

Electronics: Original

Pickup Details: Fender/Lace Sensor

Hardware: Original

Case Details: Gig Bag

Modifications / Repairs: new TusQ nut

Cosmetic Condition: Very Good - play wear, dents, finish chips, and buckle rash across the neck and body, the original finish still has tons of life left in it

Tech Inspection Report: New TusQ nut installed, plays at medium-high action yet comfortable, pickups sound great.
