1969 Gibson EB-0 Bass Cherry
1969 Gibson EB-0 Bass Cherry
SETUP & INSPECTED BY OUR TECH TEAM
Weight: 7.8 Lbs
Case Details: PRG Wood Rectangle Electric Case and Original Hardshell Case. (some damage to original case)
Cosmetic Condition: Good condition with plenty of checking and scratching throughout. Some areas of chipping along the sides of the body and headstock. Neck has some wear though the finish. Visible crack lines on the neck/headstock joint as well as the neck pocket/body joint that have been repaired (see tech notes) The neck pocket crack runs down onto the top a bit near the upper horn.
Tech Notes: Bass, Hardware, and Electronics were cleaned/tested and are functioning appropriately. Setup with medium neck relief and medium/low action. There is some light uneven relief in the neck, but it isn't having an impact on the playability of the instrument. Truss rod is functioning appropriately. Minimal fret wear apparent.
Mods or Repairs: Original damper on string mute was replaced at some point. When this bass was shipped to us it incurred light damage in shipping. There was a neck crack by the nut and a small crack around the neck pocket/body. These were both addressed and ru-glued/stabilized. You will noticed the nut had to be removed to properly inject glue for the crack. The low E string saddle also had a small crack at some point in the past. It wasn't fully separated and we injected it with superglue to stabilize it. Everything is structurally solid and playing great throughout the bass.
