DESCRIPTION
The limited-edition Ibanez 540PIII revives the spirit of the late-’80s Power series with a modern twist. Drawing from the second-generation model famously played by Alex Skolnick during his Testament days, this guitar blends vintage attitude with contemporary craftsmanship.
Its solid mahogany body features a striking reverse RG shape with an extended lower horn, while the 5-piece Super Wizard neck delivers exceptional stability and effortless speed. A 24-fret rosewood fingerboard provides a smooth, fast-playing surface that’s built for precision and expression.
Tonally, the 540PIII is all about clarity and punch. The IBZ V8 bridge humbucker serves up thick, articulate leads full of harmonic richness, complemented by an Infinity R rail-style humbucker in the neck for balanced, dynamic tones. Add in an Edge double-locking tremolo and Gotoh tuners, and you’ve got a setup that’s ready for serious performance.
