1989 PRS Standard 24 Prototype Joker RARE
1989 PRS Standard 24 Prototype Joker RARE
Confirmed factory built guitar that includes verifying paperwork. PRS planned on making a whole run of guitars based on comic book characters, but the plans fell through, leaving this as the only actual prototype made for the idea!
SETUP & INSPECTED BY OUR LUTHIER
Weight: 7.7lbs
Case: Hardshell Case
Year: 1989
Cosmetic Condition: Some dings on the back and top of headstock. There are a handful of small chips/dings on the back of the guitar where the green finish pokes through the black that was painted over it. Overall it is in very good condition with some minor sings of being played. Please see our listing photos for a closer look.
Tech Notes: Serial is faded, reads (#4066 6/89). The tremolo claw is branded Kahler, this being a prototype we don’t see it being out of the ordinary if the factory was testing different components, it does appear to be original to the guitar. The guitar was sprayed over an existing blue sparkle finish, old signature was painted over, new signature by hand. Extremely light fret wear on the first few frets.
Due to photo upload limits, we can't include every photo of the internals of this guitar or blacklight photos. They can be provided upon request, just send us a message!
