1973 Fender Stratocaster EVH Style

Funky, shreddable, and wild. A vintage Strat from circa 1973 with all of the appropriate EVH approved mods such as a tape paint job and a humbucker added to the bridge position. The original Floyd Rose and deluxe size headstock add to the endless amount of mojo this awesome and absurd instrument already weilds. Body Material: Alder Body

Body Details: 2 piece alder body with custom “EVH” inspired orange and black tape paint job, one chip on both the top and bottom horn exposing orange paint, another larger gash in the paint on the back exposing both players of color as well as a bit of wood. There is a small chip above the Floyr Rose as well as a small dent in the back of the guitar near the tummy contour. The body was modded to fit the Floyd Rose back in the day. Original 3 bolt neck joint modded for a 4 bolt so one of the original three holes is filled and semi-exposed under the neck plate

Fingerboard Material: Rosewood Veneer

Neck Profile: 70s C 

Neck Thickness (IN): 1st fret: .824, 12th fret: .901

Fingerboard Radius: 7.25”

Nut Width: 1-11/16 in

Neck Details: Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays; some light finish splitting at the end of the skunk strop near the headstock, of course the neck was drilled to fit the locking nut. The finish on the headstock face has heavy checking as well as around the end of the headstock. There is a piece of finish that fell off behind the high e tuner, the tuners are not original and you can see the drill holes from the original tuners. there is a little bit of finish wear 

Fret wear: Mild and even wear up the original frets, there is light denting under the D and G string up through the 9th fret. None of the wear inhibits the playability of the guitar

High E string gauge: 10

Electronics: Modified to have an HSS configuration, coil split mini-switch and a single volume knob. The set up is similar to an EVH Frankenstrat but with a coil split and a 5-way pickup selector. The mini-switch is a three way that allows either humbucker coil to be selected or the entire pickup.

Pickup Details: DiMarzio bridge humbucker with single coil neck and middle pickups 

Hardware: Vintage Floyd Rose and locking nut, replacement Sperzel tuners

Case Details: Original hard case

Modifications / Repairs: Floyd Rose, locking nut, modded electronics to allow for coil splitting options and no tone knobs. Body and neck were routed for a humbucker, a Floyd Rose, and a locking nut respectively 

Cosmetic Condition: Very Good - Various blemishes throughout guitar including neck and head. Pick scratches on pickguard, minor buckle rash on back. One larger dent/pain flaw on back left edge.

Tech Inspection Report: Plays well with low action and minimal fret wear to original frets. Set for fast smooth 70s/80s shredder style action
